As for burned dinner......I fall into a deep depression. And I fool myself into believing every day that everyone likes me. The alternative is too much to bear. I feel your pain. Apple crisp is one of my absolute favorites and yours looks delicious!! Maybe I will make some next time I am feeling sad and unliked....it looks like it could ease the pain. My favourite is the "Lonely lemon seeking blueberries" in your recipe titled "The Price of Great Muffins". The offset and the shadow really makes the lemon seem dejected and sad.
